waiting

I am in a new season of waiting... the LORD is teaching me so much about waiting - it's not been the easiest! Today I was reading one of my favorite daily devotionals, called "Streams in the Desert", and today's topic was regarding 'delays'.
"God is going to test me with delays; and with the delays will come suffering, but through it all stands God's pledge: His new covenant with me in Christ, and His inviolable promise of every lesser blessing that I need. The delay and the suffering are part of the promised blessing; let me praise Him for them today; and let me wait on the LORD and be of good courage, and He will strengthen my heart."
Often my struggle with waiting/delays comes down to the issue of faith. Do I believe God is in control? Do I trust in His complete and perfect sovereignty? If I do, then why am I worrying - He is in control and is orchestrating every detail of my life for His glory. And I can rest in that!
"You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.' {Isaiah 26:3-4}

blogging & coffee creamer

Wow - it has been a very long time since I have posted anything on this blog...I am not sure why I stopped blogging... but I have new resolve to begin blogging again... I come across so many great articles, photos, ideas, bible verses, quotes, etc. that I always think "that would be great to share on the blog!" and promptly move on.... I am hoping that this time the blogging fever lingers!
And for all of you coffee addicts: I just found these great recipes for homemade coffee creamer - I can't wait to try them. Especially the honey - vanilla recipe. Better for you than overly-processed store-bought versions and... it's economical. It's a win-win!

sick day = easter parade!

Yesterday I was feeling pretty sick - and so I didn't make it to yoga at 8am or PR writing at noon...
Instead, I lounged around and in between naps, watched this.

Is this not the the most brilliant thing you have ever seen? A bus turned thrift shop! Greatest business idea ever. I don't know how I have not heard about this yet - but this bus stays parked in Portland! I have HAVE to see this the next time I go to P-town.

I woke up and saw this post from Song of Style. Do you not LOVE this closet?!
Living in a co-op with 47 other girls comes with so many perks and blessings, however closet space is something that is lacking... Every year my roommates and I marvel at how much clothes I manage to cram into such a tight space. It always works out! But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this closet and will be taking notes for when I get more space. JUNE is approaching quickly!

Today I spent at my parent's home. Playing monopoly and watching some show about poachers... clearly my day was CRAZY. And now I am just delaying the inevitable. HOMEWORK calls my name.

Meet Adam, "Garfield", and Jonathan.
Although...I'm pretty sure that they just discovered, after a YEAR, that Garfield is a female. Oopsies! Do I see kitties in the near future?!
Okay. Off to writing about mac-n-cheese for my food writing class!

sunshine...

...really makes me happy. And morning coffee on the front porch? BEST way to start my day. Something about lounging around in the sun feels luxurious. LOVE IT. I couldn't be happier that spring is finally HERE!

This is reason to celebrate. I have loved this magazine ever since it's debut in February - it's a fashion and lifestyle magazine that is very tasteful and inspiring with ZERO trash. LOVE IT!
